Colour Parties

Gather your friends for a fun and stylish celebration, perfect for a girls’ night, hen party, or birthday! Hosted in my studio for 4–6 people, we’ll pick a date that suits your group, and when booking a party of 6, the host goes free. Each guest discovers their seasonal colour palette, best neutrals, metallics, and most flattering makeup and hair shades through a mini draping session. Everyone takes home a swatch card and enjoys hands-on time at a Charlotte Tilbury makeup station to try their recommended shades.

Good To Know

How should I come prepared for my appointment?

For any colour analysis, please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face, long hair tied up and wearing a low-collar shirt or top to allow for the best assessment of your natural skin tone and features. Where possible, please do not apply fake tan prior to the session. We will apply some light make-up during a full colour analysis in your complementary shades, but you’re also welcome to also bring your own make-up to apply afterwards.

I dye my hair, will that affect the outcome of my colour analysis?

Not at all. Your colour analysis is based on your natural colouring - your skin tone and eye colour - rather than your current hair shade. If your hair is dyed a completely different colour from your natural tone, I may use a neutral bandana to cover it during the session so it doesn’t influence the results. I’ll also advise on hair colours that best complement your palette.

What type of drapes do you use in the analysis?

I use luxurious, precision-dyed drapes from Kettlewell, a UK brand renowned for its beautifully made wardrobe staples in every seasonal colour palette. Because the drapes are precision dyed, any pieces you purchase from Kettlewell will perfectly match the shades we identify during your analysis. And as a Vera Rae client, you’ll also receive an exclusive Kettlewell discount, just ask me for details!

Will you take photographs?

I want you to feel completely comfortable and relaxed during your appointment, so I will always ask you prior to our session starting if you would be happy for me to do so.

Can I bring along a friend / child / animal to my appointment?

If you’d love to share the experience, you’re very welcome to book a joint Colour Analysis or a group Colour Party, which are designed to be enjoyed together. For individual appointments, I kindly ask that you attend alone so I can give you my full attention and ensure the session runs smoothly.

To keep the studio calm and my equipment safe, children and animals aren’t able to attend appointments.

How do I pay for my booking?

To secure your booking, a 50% deposit is required of the total amount when completing the booking form. Payment can be made easily by card or Apple Pay through my secure SumUp checkout. The remaining balance is payable at the end of your appointment by card or Apple Pay only.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Each Vera Rae session is a carefully prepared, luxury experience, with time and resources reserved exclusively for you. If you need to reschedule or cancel, you’re very welcome to do so up to 48 hours before your appointment by contacting me directly, and your deposit will be fully transferred or refunded.

As preparation begins well in advance, any changes made within 48 hours of your appointment will result in the deposit being forfeited. A new deposit would then be required should you wish to rebook. Thank you so much for understanding and respecting the care that goes into every session.
